The city was originally known as "Pig's Eye" but was renamed Saint Paul in 1841. It became a city in 1854, predating its Twin City, Minneapolis.
  • History and Culture: St. Paul served as a significant frontier and railroad town, attracting immigrants from diverse European backgrounds who shaped the city's cultural landscape. Today, it boasts a vibrant arts scene, notable landmarks like the Cathedral of Saint Paul, and a five-mile-long skyway system.

St. Paul became a saint on his way to Damascus he suddenly felt a blinding vision of resurrected Jesus. He preached the gospel among the gentiles. His feast day is on June 27th and his conversion on January 25th.

St. Patrick

Early life and enslavement Born Maewyn Succat in Roman Britain, his exact birthplace is debated, though some scholars suggest areas near Hadrian's Wall or in Wales. At the age of 16, he was captured by Irish raiders during an attack on his family estate and brought to Ireland as a slave. He spent six years in captivity as a herdsman, during which time he embraced a devout Christian faith and is believed to have developed the desire to convert the Irish people to Christianity.
